THOUGHTS AND NEWS FROM US AT
CHASE STREAM FARM.

July 2016
Hello all - sorry for the long absence... A LOT has happened since we last posted!
I'll fast forward and just say that Tim & Anne are firmly entrenched in Maine soil, and we've got Maine Organic Farmers and Gardners Association (MOFGA) certified tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, eggplant, cucumber, and potatoes in the ground.

The BEAST (our name for the 35ft x 75ft high-tunnel greenhouse) is looking beastly, thanks to the hard work of Tim and a couple of local veterans we were able to hire.  We are now in the process of receiving our household goods from our old digs in Virginia while making our Maine house into a home.

Most importantly, Anne is going to start beating the bushes to find good plates and bellies for the goodies that will start bursting out of the greenhouse in the next 4-6 weeks.  Please send us leads if you have a favorite mid-coast Maine restaurant that cherishes locally sourced and organically-certified produce.

Next on the "to-do" list is to get BEAUTY, the 30ft x 72ft high-tunnel HEATED greenhouse ready for late summer/early fall plantings. We will be "that farm" that produces fresh veggies deep into fall.

We're also on the lookout for laying hens, and a starter flock of Katahdin sheep to come join us on Chase Stream Farm.
